Resident
Mayo Clinic Neurosurgical Residency
I am a PGY-6 neurosurgery resident at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota with an avid interest in pediatric neuro-oncology. My research is focused on defining epigenetic mechanisms of disease in high-grade pediatric brain tumors. Working under the mentorship of David Daniels, I have developed a research program focused on transcriptional regulatory networks (TRNs) in atypical teratoid rhabdoid tumor and H3K27-altered diffuse midline glioma. My overall research aim is to define how specific TRNs lead to tumorigenesis in diverse settings and translate these findings to both developmental and clinical settings. Following a fellowship in pediatric neurosurgery, I aim to build a hybrid academic practice that features both a robust surgical neuro-oncology program as well as a productive basic and translational science laboratory.
