Ben Carnovale is a first year medical student at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He recieved a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh Swanson School of Engineering in April 2025. His research focuses on leveraging his technical background to address challenges in spine surgery, using computational modeling and data analytics to predict patient-reported outcomes in spinal surgeries. Ben is also passionate about sports medicine and its intersection with epidemiology, particularly in understanding and mitigating spine and neurological injuries.
