Yin Ju Chen, MD is a graduate of National Cheng Kung University School of Medicine, and he finished his Post-Graduate Year training at Taichung Veterans General Hospital. Dr. Chen trained at Chiayi Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in the department of Neurosurgery during his residency. During his residency, he was able to provide superior surgical technique and care that resulted in an overall improvement of the department's patient satisfaction quotient. He undertook a fellowship of neural intervention at the Linkou Chang Gung Memorial Hospital under one of the Taiwanese legendary pioneers of neural intervention, Dr. Ho-Fai Wong. Dr. Chen had the strong interest in hydrocephalus, vascular intervention and surgery, and also spine surgery. He focused on using Artificial Intelligence to measure parameter of normal pressure hydrocephalus, and give patients promptly diagnosis of SAM-Med 3D model based. The result can lead to the tailor-made treatment of each patients and increase efficacy of all surgery.
Dr. Chen has the strong interest in research and been practicing in the Annual meeting of Taiwan Neurosurgical society 4 times since 2021, and the European Association of Neurosurgical Societies, Barcelona in 2023. He currently has 2 publications with Science Citation Index, including 1 randomized clinical trial as a principal investigator, and has 1 co-authorships publication so far during his residency. The research field includes the technique of endoscopic removal of intracerebral blood clots, the necessity of using a back brace after spinal fusion surgery, and rare spinal intradural tumors.
Dr. Chen had the special experience in volunteer medical mission with Tzu Chi Foundation many times since 2016 in Hsinchu and Pingtung, the remote and rural area with scarce medical resources. There was the experience of internaltional volunteer experience in Banglore, India, helping the children who were poor and out of school. He joined the International Medical Student Exchange Clerkship in Prince of Songkla University hospital, Thailand in 2017, in order to reasearch the special diseases in tropical area. Dr. chen tries his best and prepare himself well in order to use the new technology to help the patients in need, and keep pace wite the cutting edge of the time's trend.
