I am Jainith Patel, BS, an MD candidate at Tufts University School of Medicine and a medical student researcher in the Department of Neurosurgery at Tufts Medical Center. My research interests center on studying clinical outcomes in neurosurgery, particularly degenerative lumbar disease, awake spine surgery, and systemic amyloidosis in relation to spinal stenosis. I am currently an NIH T32 fellow in the Clinical and Translational Science Institute at Tufts and plan to pursue a career in neurosurgery.
