Medical Student
The CUNY School of Medicine
Fatimah Coppin, BS is a first year medical student at the CUNY School of Medicine whose research journey bridges fundamental neuroscience with clinical applications. Her scientific path originates in the Feinstein Institutes for Medical Research, where she investigated neural dynamics in murine models using in vivo electrophysiological recordings, PET imaging, and behavioral analytics. Her research interests evolved to studying human neurological conditions, where she applies electrophysiological and neuroimaging techniques to inform effective treatment and decision-making for complex neurological and psychiatric disorders. She hopes to continue on this path to develop targeted biomarkers and novel therapeutic interventions to improve patient outcomes.
