Dr. Yinyan Wang is a Chief Physician, Professor, and Doctoral Supervisor in the Department of Neurosurgery at Beijing Tiantan Hospital, Capital Medical University, where he also serves as Deputy Director of the Fourth Neuro-oncology Ward. His primary research focuses on intelligent diagnosis and treatment technologies for gliomas, integrating medical big data and artificial intelligence. Key areas include AI-based neuroimaging diagnosis, intraoperative functional area protection based on brain network plasticity, invasive motor and language brain-computer decoding, and ultra-fast intraoperative optical pathological diagnosis.
Dr. Wang holds several prominent academic roles, including Principal Investigator at the National Clinical Research Center for Neurological Diseases and Deputy Director of the Beijing Key Laboratory of Brainnetome and Brain-Computer Interface. He has been recognized with numerous distinctions such as Beijing Natural Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, Beijing Science and Technology Nova Award, and so on.
He has led over 10 national and provincial research projects and has published extensively, with more than 90 SCI papers as first or corresponding author, including several high-impact publications and cover features in renowned journals. Dr. Wang holds multiple national invention patents and software copyrights, with several patents successfully translated into clinical products, including one Class III medical device approved for widespread use. He has also contributed to five national clinical guidelines for neurosurgery and received prestigious awards including the Chinese Medical Science and Technology Award, Beijing Medical Science and Technology Award, and Gold Prizes at the Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions.
