Laura Snyder, MD, FAANS, FCNS, is Professor of Neurological Surgery, Director of Neurotrauma, and Associate Program Director of the Neurosurgery Residency Program at Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix, AZ. She is the 2025-2026 AANS/CNS Women in Neurosurgery President. She is Scientific Program Chair for Spine Summit 2026. Dr. Snyder is a Chicago native. After receiving her Bachelor of Science degree from Pennsylvania State University, Dr. Snyder earned her Medical Degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. She completed her residency at Barrow Neurological Institute, followed by fellowships in complex and minimally invasive spine surgery at both Barrow Neurological Institute and Rush University Medical Center in Chicago.
