Prof. Sabino Luzzi is a Full Professor of Neurosurgery at the University of Sassari and Chief of the Neurosurgery Department at AOU Sassari, Sardinia, Italy.
He is Vice-Chair of the Neurosurgery Residency Training Program of the Universities of Pavia and Sassari, Italy, and a board member of the Ph.D. Program in Experimental Medicine at the University of Pavia.
Prof. Luzzi is also a GMC-certified neurosurgeon in the United Kingdom and serves as a board member of the WFNS Neuroncology, Education and Training Committee and the Young Neurosurgeons Committee.
He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) and the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS).
He is actively involved in several international neurosurgical societies and serves as faculty for prestigious hands-on neurosurgical courses worldwide.
Prof. Luzzi has presented at numerous international congresses and has authored over 250 scientific publications in top-ranked neurosurgical journals, as well as several books, focusing on neuro-oncology, neurovascular, and skull base surgery.
He also serves on the editorial board and as a reviewer for more than 80 leading neurosurgical journals.
His primary clinical and research interests include brain and skull base tumors and neurovascular pathologies.
