Torben Pearson is a second-year medical student at the University of Minnesota and a 2025 Rusyniak Memorial Medical Student Research Fellow at the University of Rochester Department of Neurosurgery. He graduated from the University of San Diego, was an NIH postbac Intramural Research Training Award Fellow under Drs. Nora Vokow and Sung Won Kim, and is a grad student researcher at the Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging in the lab of Dr. So Jeong Lee. Most recently, he was mentored by Dr. Jonathan Stone while completing the Rusyniak summer research fellowship. He is interested in neuro-oncology and is currently involved in research within the University of Minnesota Brain Tumor Program. Outside of work, he enjoys cooking, sports, and being a slightly below average guitar player.
