Connor Rupp is a second-year medical student at the University of Florida College of Medicine, where he serves as the Secretary of the AANS UF Student Chapter, Event's Chair of the Neurosurgery Interest Group, and Co-Chair of the Global Surgery and Medicine Interest Group. His research focuses on functional neurosurgery and neurodegenerative disease, leading clinical translational studies utilizing tissue collected during deep brain stimulation (DBS) procedures to investigate Parkinson’s disease pathophysiology and identify potential biomarkers or therapeutic targets.
