    Peter Fecci, MD PhD

    Peter Fecci MD, PhD, is currently Professor and Chair of Neurosurgery at the University of Colorado Anschutz. His NIH-funded laboratory focuses on integrating strategies to reverse cancer-induced T cell dysfunction with current immune-based platforms. Fecci is the principal investigator on multiple extramural grants and is the author of more than 150 articles in refereed high-impact journals, including nearly a dozen papers in various Nature, Science, and Cell journals. He is a recipient of the Cancer Research Institute Lloyd J. Old STAR Award, the Sontag Distinguished Scientist Award and Distinguished Alumni Award, and is an inductee into the American Society for Clinical Investigation (ASCI). Clinically, as a neurosurgeon, he focuses on intrinsic brain tumors (gliomas and metastases) and has likewise built one of the country’s largest practices employing Laser Interstitial Thermal Therapy as a minimally invasive option for recurrent or deeply situated brain tumors.
