Arman Jahangiri, M.D., Ph.D. received his MD from UTSW and his PhD from UCSF before completing residency at Emory University. He has authored 63 peer-reviewed scientific publications and delivered 23 oral presentations, including eight that received Best Oral Presentation awards at major neurosurgical meetings such as AANS, CNS, NASBS, and GNS. He has also presented four poster sessions. Dr. Jahangiri's basic science research has been supported by over $250,000 in NIH and foundational grants as a principal investigator. He has also played a key role in the success of multiple NIH R01 proposals funded during his graduate training at UCSF and his postdoctoral fellowship at Emory University. In addition to his academic work, Dr. Jahangiri is a serial entrepreneur. He has raised over $2 million in venture capital and angel investment across several biotech ventures. He is currently leading his fourth company, CerebroBio Inc., a translational neuroscience startup emerging from his bench research at Emory. Dr. Jahangiri aspires to a career in academic neurosurgery, combining clinical neurosurgical oncology with scientific discovery and biomedical entrepreneurship.
