Vaithish Velazhahan is a MD candidate and Knight Hennessy Scholar at Stanford. He completed his PhD in structural biology at the University of Cambridge where he was a Gates Cambridge scholar. He has received dual bachelors degrees with honors in medical biochemistry and microbiology from Kansas State University where he was awarded the H.H. Haymaker Award for the most outstanding graduating student in Biology.
