I am Dr Menaka Fry BMBCH MA MHPE FRCS and am currently undertaking a fellowship in functional and epilepsy neurosurgery at Cleveland Clinic, Ohio.
I have completed neurosurgical training, and have an interest in epilepsy surgery and functional neurosurgery, including movement disorder and pain. I am interested in neuromodulation, medtech and the application of technological advances in healthcare. I received my medical degree from the University of Oxford, as well as a Masters in Neuroscience from the University of Oxford. I completed a Masters in Health Professionals Education with FAIMER and Keele University whilst working full time as a run through neurosurgery trainee. I successfully completed the FRCS (Neurosurgery) at first sitting with the Royal College of Surgeons of England. I have trained in Oxford, London and Newcastle. I have been a clinical editor with the BMJ, working on commissioning across the family of journals. I have also been a research fellow at the National Neurology and Neurosurgery Hospital, Queens Square.
