    Pavel Salvador Pichardo Rojas, MD, is a neurosurgery pre-residency fellow at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He is an international medical graduate with a focused interest in neuro-oncology and epilepsy. Dr. Pichardo Rojas has authored over 50 peer-reviewed publications, including work in high-impact journals such as Nature Medicine, with more than 20 first-author manuscripts. His research centers on surgical outcomes, advanced neurosurgical techniques, and global disparities in neurosurgical care.

    In addition to his clinical and academic work, he serves as a reviewer for multiple international journals and is actively involved in collaborative research initiatives across the United States and Latin America. He is the founder of a research initiative aimed at expanding access to neurosurgical education and scientific training in low- and middle-income countries.
