Hasan Slika, MD is a postdoctoral research fellow at the Hunterian Neurosurgical Laboratory at the Department of Neurosurgery, Johns Hopkins University. Hasan has completed his Medical Doctorate at the American University of Beirut in June 2023. His current research focuses on developing clinically relevant preclinical models for brain tumors, investigating novel targeted therapies for brain cancer, and testing innovative technologies that can enhance the delivery of drugs and gene therapies to the central nervous system, such as local delivery systems, nanocarriers, and focused ultrasound. Hasan is currently pursuing these research interests under the mentorship of Dr. Henry Brem and Prof. Betty Tyler. Hasan contributes to the Hunterian laboratory's mission of mentoring and nurturing the research interests of junior lab members, such as medical, graduate, undergraduate, and high-school students.
