Sean Li is an MD candidate at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine (expected 2027) with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering in Biomedical Engineering from Duke University (summa cum laude; minor in Psychology and Chemistry). His research focuses on neurosurgery, neurotrauma, and neurotechnology, spanning machine learning applications in cerebrovascular imaging and intracranial hemorrhage prognostication at the Cleveland Clinic Cerebrovascular Center, as well as stroke rehabilitation and neurophysiology work (including TMS and neuroimaging) in the Cleveland Clinic Department of Biomedical Engineering. He has also led and contributed to multi-institutional clinical outcomes research in neurosurgery at MetroHealth and University Hospitals. In addition to research, he has held leadership roles in organized neurosurgery and medical innovation, serving as Co–Vice President of the AANS Medical School Chapter and co-founding HyperCase, while also engaging in community teaching and service initiatives.
