Andrew Brumett is a rising 3rd medical student at Indiana University School of Medicine from Washington, Indiana. He graduated from Indiana University in 2024 with a B.S. in Neuroscience, where he spent 3 years studying mechanisms underlying chronic neuropathic pain states following both repeated mild traumatic brain injury and platinum-based chemotherapy treatment. His current research interests include using machine-learning models for the prognostication of neurosurgical disorders, particularly in the disciplines of spine and trauma. He is currently conducting research under the guidance of Dr. Gordon Mao and Dr. Matthew Pease.
