Alexander Thaller, MD, is a resident at the Department of Neurosurgery at the Medical University of Graz in Austria.
He is an alumnus of the United World College (UWC) of the Adriatic in Italy and completed his medical studies at the Medical University of Graz, including an extension program with a focus on medical research. During his training, he undertook international clinical and research experiences in Nicosia (Cyprus), Cape Town (South Africa), and Zurich (Switzerland). In addition to his residency, Dr. Alexander Thaller has served as a Remote Research Fellow at the Department of Neurosurgery at the Stanford University School of Medicine.
His current research focuses on onocological neurosurgery, with particular emphasis on advanced visualization techniques, including subcortical tractography, as well as skull base surgery. His work has been presented at national and international meetings, including the Austrian Society for Neurosurgery (ÖGNC), The European Association of Neurosurgical Societies (EANS), and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS).
