David S. Hersh, MD, is a pediatric neurosurgeon at Connecticut Children’s and an Associate Professor of Neurosurgery and Pediatrics at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. He completed his neurosurgery residency at the University of Maryland and his pediatric neurosurgery fellowship at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in collaboration with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Dr. Hersh specializes in pediatric neurosurgical oncology, fetal and neonatal neurosurgery, and the application of advanced technologies to improve outcomes for children with complex neurological disorders. He is actively involved in national and international collaborative research efforts, including multicenter registries and consensus initiatives focused on pediatric brain tumors, hydrocephalus, and craniofacial disorders. Dr. Hersh is passionate about building multidisciplinary programs that integrate clinical excellence, innovation, and collaborative scholarship to advance the care of children with neurological disease.
