Rudy Mercado, MD, is a researcher and editorial assistant at the Institute of Translational Neurosciences of the University of Guadalajara, where he works under the mentorship of Rodrigo Ramos-Zúñiga, MD, PhD. His current research initiatives include developing an ecological alternative to eosin using carminic acid and performing endoscopic skull base measurements to optimize surgical pathways for sella turca pathologies.
In his editorial role at the journal "Neurocirugía HOY," Dr. Mercado oversees the organization and dissemination of recent scientific literature, translating key findings from English to Spanish to support the Spanish-speaking neurosurgical community.
