My name is Christina Michelina Grannie, and I am a current 3rd-year medical student at Carle Illinois College of Medicine. I received my Bachelor of Science in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology at the University of Florida. I graduated with honors with my honors thesis focusing on wearable devices for essential tremor. I took two gap years working as a medical caretaker and a research coordinator at the Powell Gene Therapy Center, focused on gene therapy for Friedreich's Ataxia. My current research interests are spinal surgery, biomechanics, and movement disorders. My professional goals are to work in academic medicine and in spinal surgery.
