My name is Jasmine Darbhamulla, I am a second year medical student attending Oregon Health and Science University School of Medicine. I completed my undergraduate education at Cabrillo Community College and University of California Riverside, earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology. I have a passion for patient advocacy and health equity, for which I am currently exploring in the fields of neurosurgery and neurology. My passion is driven by my own experiences in medicine as a patient, as well as my preclinical experience seeing patients through the lens of volunteering for a free clinic and working in patient registration. In my research pursuits I have particular interest in psychiatric care for neurosurgery and cancer patients, catamenial epilepsy and health equity. I aspire to use my medical knowledge and skills to help my local community by being involved in free clinics and engaging with the community through health education. In my free time I enjoy painting, crafting, listening to music and eating Mexican food.
