Vinayak Belavadi B.S. is a research technician at the Sheth and Provenza laboratories in the department of Neurosurgery at Baylor College of Medicine. He earned his undergraduate degree in neuroscience at The University of Texas at Austin in May 2025. Under the mentorship of Dr. Vanegas, his primary research examines the interaction between deep brain stimulation and common genetic variants in Parkinson’s disease with an emphasis on patient-centered outcomes. He also contributes to psychiatric DBS research, including data collection and analysis. Vinayak plans to pursue a career in medicine with interests in neurosurgery and neurology.
