Linsey Scherrer, PA-C is a board-certified Physician Assistant employed by UTHealth Houston. She earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas, in 2010.
Linsey began her career with the UTHealth Department of Neurosurgery at Memorial Hermann Texas Medical Center, where she provided care for adult inpatient neurosurgical patients until August 2021. She subsequently transitioned to the UTHealth Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Geriatric and Palliative Medicine, continuing her practice at Memorial Hermann Texas Medical Center. In this role, she cared for hospitalized adult palliative medicine patients, with a clinical focus on goals-of-care discussions and symptom management.
After maintaining strong professional relationships with her neuroscience colleagues, Linsey returned to the UTHealth Department of Neurosurgery in 2024. She currently practices at Memorial Hermann Memorial City, a community hospital setting.
Linsey believes that her experience in palliative medicine has strengthened her clinical approach, enabling her to deliver comprehensive neurosurgical care with an emphasis on quality of life, advanced care planning, and long-term goals of care. She is passionate about sharing her expertise with neurosurgery and neurocritical care colleagues to further enhance patient-centered care.
