Maryam Rahman grew up in Panama City, FL, obtained her BA in Chemistry from Johns Hopkins University and her medical degree from the University of Florida. She completed her neurosurgical training at UF and fellowship in neurosurgical oncology at Johns Hopkins as well. She is professor of neurosurgery at UF and specializes in the treatment of brain tumors. She is a strong advocate for organizations that provide resources for marginalized groups.
