John Ogunlade, DO is the Director of Endoscopic Spine Surgery at Washington University School of Medicine, where he has trained residents, fellows and attending surgeons advanced endoscopic spine surgery techniques. Dr. Ogunlade is a contributing member of the Endoscopic Spine Research Group (“ESRG”) and a Co-Founder of the International Spinal Endoscopy Research Foundation (“iSERF,”) an organization dedicated to the advancement of spinal endoscopy.
Dr. Ogunlade completed his residency in neurological surgery at Riverside Univeristy Health Systems Medical Center in Moreno Valley, California. He then completed his fellowship in endoscopic, minimally invasive and complex spine surgery at the Univeristy of Washington in Seattle Washington.
Since joining the Taylor Family Department of Neurosurgery, Dr. Ogunlade was awarded "Teacher of the Year” for two consecutive years, served as the Vice President of iSERF, and was recognized as an “ESRG Patient Outcomes Champion.” Under His leadership, the Washington University Spinal Endoscopy program has grown, with 6 surgeons (4 neurosurgeons and 2 orthopedic surgeons) completing more than 400 endoscopic cases per annum, across 5 hospitals in the greater Saint Louis area.
