Jacob Young, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Neurological Surgery and a Principal Investigator in the Brain Tumor Center at UCSF. Dr. Young’s translational research program has two primary goals: understanding tumor cell and microenvironment evolution in response to therapy, specifically therapy-induced senescence as a means of treatment resistance; and improving locoregional drug delivery. He supplements his laboratory work with clinical trials and clinical research programs to comprehensively improve outcomes for brain tumor patients.
