Ankush Chandra, MD is a PGY-6 Neurosurgery resident at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston with a keen interest in neurosurgical oncology. He is an NIH R25/UE5 grant recipient and his current research in the Lo laboratory focuses on understanding CDK4/6 inhibitor resistance in glioblastoma and developing novel combination therapies. As an aspiring neurosurgeon-scientist, Dr. Chandra's research interests include studying the tumor microenvironment, aiming to identify novel therapeutic targets and enhance patient outcomes by overcoming resistance mechanisms. His ultimate goal is to translate these findings into clinical practice, improving the prognosis and quality of life for GBM patients through innovative treatments.
