Maxwell Boakye MD MPH MBA, is Professor of Neurosurgery, Ole A., Mabel Wise&Wilma Wise Nelson Endowed Chair and Associate Dean for Physician Scientist Training and CoDirector of MD PhD program at the University of Louisville. Dr Boakye was previously Vice Chair for Research in the Department of Neurosurgery and Interim Director of the Kentucky Spinal Cord Injury center. He is CoDirector of the Professional Development Core of the University of Louisville Clinical and Translational Research Center and President and CEO of the Ghana Brain&Spine Foundation which does medical missions and neurological care in Ghana. He leads the UofL Global neurosurgery development effort in Ghana partnering with the Ghana neurosurgery team at Korlebu National Hospital. Dr BNoakye is PI of an IRB research projects at Korlebu Hospital and developing an bidirectional educational resident exchange program with Korleby residency program.
