I received my undergraduate degree from New York University and medical degree from the Yale University School of Medicine. I completed my internship in the Department of Surgery and my residency in the Department of Neurological Surgery at College of Physicians & Surgeons of Columbia University. Following residency, I completed a comprehensive spine fellowship under the mentorship of Regis Haid and Gerald Rodts at Emory University. Once training was complete, I joinged the faculty of the Columbia University Department of Neurosurgery from 2001 to 2019. I become Associate Professor of Neurosurgery, and was a senior spine specialist during my tenure at Columbia. Throughout my career I have also been a menber of Neurosurgeons of New Jersey, primarily practicing out of Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, NJ. In 2020, I joined the Department of Neurosurgery at NYU/Langone, receiving the title of Clinical Associate Professor, Department of Neurosurgery at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. During my career I have participated in various academic endeavors including peer reviewed publications, book chapters, editorial boards (Neurosurgery and The Journal of Neurosurgery), and presented at numerous national and local neurosurgical meetings. I specialize in treatments for cervical and lumbar degenerative disease, complex cervical spine reconstructions, spinal cord and nerve tumors, spine tumors, and minimally invasive spinal procedures.
