Jennifer A. Sweet, MD, FAANS, FACS is an Associate Professor of Neurosurgery & Psychiatry and Sheila & Sandy Fox Master Clinician in Neurosurgery at Case Western Reserve University and University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center, where she practices Stereotactic & Functional Neurosurgery. Her clinical interests include deep brain stimulation for movement disorders and psychiatric diseases, as well as unique surgical strategies for the management of chronic neuropathic pain. Dr. Sweet is an NIH-funded researcher investigating neural networks in patients suffering from bipolar disorder using MR-based tractography. She is also very involved in organized neurosurgery and holds many leadership positions, including Executive Committee of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS), Advisory Council of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS), Board of Directors of the Association of Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery, President of the AANS/CNS Joint Section on Pain, Past President of the AANS/CNS Joint Section on Women in Neurosurgery, and Chair of the CNS Neurosurgery Guidelines.
